Manufacturers need to finance the modernization of enterprises by themselves, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said during a meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian public associations of the disabled, ForUm correspondent reports.
"When I call a figure of 150-160 billion euros (necessary to modernize and restructure the economy - Ed.), many criticize that this figure is too high, and some say it is little. It’s certainly something in between. It is impossible to precisely calculate the costs for modernization of the country," he said.
According to him, the main question is how to find sources for funding the modernization. "The manufacturer himself should have these means. The production has to give profits, through which modernization can be carried out," he concluded.
