Outsourcing market is gradually evolving in Ukraine, representative of the Kyiv School of Economics Serhiy Gvozdyov said during a master class "Outsourcing: an effective dialogue", ForUm correspondent reports.

According to the expert, outsourcing involves the transfer of some basic problems of the enterprise to a temporary or regular performance of outside contractors on a contract basis. "The most frequent transferred functions are cleaning, security, catering, transport. In this case, most often the executor is transferred equipment and personnel," the economist said.

Gvozdyov added that the market has been developing in the country for many years. "So, even before the crisis, major industrial enterprises of Ukraine began to optimize its structure and output non-core processes and support to outsource. This allows making more efficient production and staff management, ultimately improving competitiveness. For example, road freight transport is not a core for any of the plants, and it can be professionally run by specialized companies," the analyst said.

He said that an offer of outsourcing services from small companies is growing in the country. "Meanwhile, the rules in the market have not been yet elaborated," the expert concluded.
