"I am absolutely convinced that such a system does not exist in Ukraine," Kozhara said on Monday, speaking at the meeting of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament.
"For me, it would be easier if you replaced the wording "selective justice" with “Tymoshenko’s case," he said.
“There is no such political wording - "political prisoners" - in our relations with the European Union, the Council of Europe, the OSCE and the UN. We believe that there are no political prisoners in Ukraine," Kozhara stated.
When asked about the decision of the European Court of Human Rights in the case "Tymoshenko versus Ukraine", the minister said that the decision is studied by Ukrainian authorities responsible for legal analysis, after which, the relevant statement will be made.
