Eleven Ukrainians and one Russian were on board of the ship sunken in Turkey.

Volgo Balt 199 Cargo ship carrying coal has sunk today off the coast of Turkey near Istanbul. Twelve sailors, eleven Ukrainians and one Russian, are considered missing, according to Coast Guard control.

No SOS signals had been made from the sunken ship, the representative of management informed.
The search teams are working in the Black Sea near Schiele, where the accident happened. The works are complicated by a heavy storm, which hit the area of the Sea of Marmara.

Istanbul and its surroundings has been hit with severe weather since Monday. According to media reports, the wind, which speed sometimes reaches 80 miles per hour, tires off roofs, uproots trees in parts of the Marmara Sea. Ferry service in the Bosphorus, Istanbul, separating the European and Asian parts has been canceled because of the storm on Tuesday.
