Ukraine exports annually 80,000 tons of cheese to 16 world countries and 65,000 tons only to Russia, Agrarian Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk said on air of the Inter TV channel, according to the Ministry's press reports.

According to the Minister, over 30% of cheese exported to Russia is a production of three plants, banned by Russian public health agency (Rospotrebnadzor).

"In other words, the ban imposed on cheese produced by those plants is significant, but not catastrophic. There is nothing extraordinary in this, since recently we have observed Japan banning import of agrarian products from world's developed countries," the Minister emphasized.
