Increasing healthcare funding remains a priority of public in Ukraine President Viktor Yanukovych said at an extended meeting of the New Life national project Supervisory Board in Kirovohrad, ForUm learned from the presidential press office.
First of all, Viktor Yanukovych said, it is important to raise salaries for medical staff. He reminded that the 2012 State Budget provides for a gradual increase in medical workers’ wages on average by 30%.
"We know well that in order to motivate people to work in this area we need to raise salaries," he said, adding also that it is necessary to improve the quality of medical services in Ukraine.
