Judge Rodion Kireyev of the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv has opened the court hearings and started the reading out of the verdict which wrote by himself in the deliberation.

Supporters and opponents of Yulia Tymoshenko gathered near the court. There are also 10 buses with police officers, parked on every street around the court, ForUm correspondent reports.

Yulia Tymoshenko, her entire defense team and the four representatives of the state prosecution are in the courtroom. There are no members of parliament in the courtroom. Nearly one hundred representatives of Ukrainian and foreign press are covering the announcement of the verdict. The benches were removed from the courtroom, forcing all journalists to stand. Many others couldn’t make it into the courtroom.

Journalists who managed to get to the courtroom said that handfuls of broken glass were thrown at them as they passed through the arch leading to the Pechersk court.

BYuT deputies tried to fight through the guards and to get to the courtroom, but failed.
