President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych considers incitement to extremist manifestations inadmissible in Ukraine, President’s press office informs.

"(It is necessary) to say "no" to extremism, radicalism and incitement to hostility in the society based on the political struggle for power," Viktor Yanukovych said in the course of the meeting with participants of the International panel discussion "Democratic process and the threat of radicalism in Ukraine" held in Kyiv on Monday.

Speaking of the recent events in the course of the mass rallies, the Head of State noted with regret that such manifestations took place.

"If someone had spoken of that some time ago we wouldn't have believed that. Unfortunately, such manifestations take place in our country. Vandalism in the course of the seizure of state premises and calls that sound remind us the lessons of the long-time history. We wouldn't like that to ever happen again," the President emphasized.

In this context, he called the holding of panel discussion topical. "I am grateful that you have established this organization doing a great job which I'm sure unites people into the community of healthy people clear of nazism, racism and xenophobia," Viktor Yanukovych noted.
