The Cabinet has updated Procedure for licensing of business activities related to construction of buildings. The appropriate decree was drafted by the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine and approved at the government’s meeting on Jan. 9, 2014, the Information-Analytical Bulletin of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine informs.
From now on, the State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate of Ukraine is authorized to use public registries to validate data about the subject construction activities. This was announced by Minister of Regional Development, Gennady Temnik. He said the update will improve the procedure for issuing construction licenses.
The Ministry of Regional Development clarify that the changes have established the authority of the State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate to use public registries to verify information in the documents submitted by a construction company in order to obtain a license.
According to the minister, any inferior due diligence for complex construction sites might jeopardize reliability, durability and safety of construction projects.
