Minister of regional development, construction and housing and communal services of Ukraine Hennady Temnyk urged regions to participate actively in the All-Ukrainian action "For clean environment," the press service of the Regional Development Ministry reports.
At the selector meeting with the heads of regional state administrations, the minister stressed the need to clean territories near memorials, monuments, common graves, as well as building surrounding grounds, streets, squares, parks and equip new playgrounds.
According to him, almost 25 thousand settlements (85%) started work on cleaning their areas. And more than 77 thousand companies and organizations, 2.3 million people, including more than 1.7 million students, joined this activity.
"None of settlements should stay away from cleaning its territory. Appropriate government report on done work will be made on Monday," the minister stressed.
