During a working visit to the USA, the Ukrainian delegation headed by chairman of the National Bank Serhiy Arbuzov presented major projects in the field of subsurface use.
In particular, the Ukrainian delegation held a meeting in Washington with chairman of the Energy Bureau of the State Department Carlos Pascual.
"The energy sector of Ukraine is one of the most attractive sectors for the USA investors. This was proved by the victory of the leading international oil giants as Shell, Chevron and ExxonMobil in the competition to have a right to develop the areas of shale gas in the Ukrainian Black Sea shelf. We are ready to create the most favorable conditions for the USA investments into the Ukrainian energy sector," minister of ecology and natural resources of Ukraine Eduard Stavytsky said.
During the negotiations, Pascual and Stavytsky discussed liberalization of the Ukrainian energy market and cooperation between two countries in the field of mining gas from unconventional sources in Ukraine.
