The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov has opened a unique regional children center of social rehabilitation "Perlyna Prydniprovya" ("Pearl of the Transdnieper") in the Dnipropetrovsk region, as ForUm learned from the Cabinet press service.
"It is a very exciting day today because we open this wonderful holiday camp, where many of our children can rest and gain strength before September 1 and go to school full of strength and energy. The opening of this institution is a great example of the effective implementation of the public policy of our President on social children protection," Azarov said.
According to Azarov, this is a modern center with no analogues even in Europe. He assured that the government will continue building such centers in the future.
The PM said that many children from socially unprotected families will revitalize in this center. Thus, nearly 200 children of the region have come to rest and to revitalize in the first shift of the center. These are children from large families, orphans and children deprived of parental care.
"I personally confirm that this is a very beautiful and modern center, which has everything for a good rest of our children," Azarov said. He stressed that in the center the kids can also study and develop their creativity.
The center will work all year round. The school will be opened from September 1. This will enable children to undergo complex treatments and rehabilitation without stalling the educational process.
Every year the center will accept 3 thousand children, requiring special attention and state support in the age from 7 to 16 years old from the Dnipropetrovsk region.
