In Donetsk (Ukraine's east) two car-parks will be constructed for guests of UEFA EURO 2012, who will come on own transport, head of the Donetsk City Council's department on preparation for EURO 2012 Serhiy Repin said, UKRINFORM reports.
"In order not to allow an excess of cars during UEFA EURO 2012, it is planned to place two car-parks from the southern and northern entry to the city for 5,000 automobiles. From that place, fans will be brought to championship objects by comfortable buses - shuttle buses," Serhiy Repin has said.
In particular, in the southern car-park, it is envisaged to create parking lots for 2,800 automobiles and 100 small recreational transportation vehicles. It will be located on the territory adjacent to the camping park at a distance of 13 kilometers from the Donbas Arena stadium and 10 kilometers from the fan zone. The northern parking will be for 1,500-2,000 automobiles. It will be located on the territory of the agricultural market Khoziain (Master) at a distance of 13 kilometers from the Donbas Arena and 17 kilometers from the fan zone.
As Serhiy Repin noted, both car-parks will have the necessary infrastructure for a short stay, public catering establishments, the sanitary-hygienic zone, etc.
