100 thousand fish species have been left out into Kyiv reservoir. ForUm correspondent reports, the action on stocking with various fish species is a part of the large-scaled program on restoration of water biological resources.
"After the tragedy of 20120, when almost all population of fish died in the Kyiv reservoir, this action is the first step on restoration of bioresources," Oleksandr Chistiakov, the head of fishermen association, declared.
He also noted that the nature needs about 20 years to restore the biological resource of the Kyiv reservoir, while with man interference the process will take 3-5 years, according to experts.
Chistiakov informed that by the end of the year the Kyiv reservoir would be filled with a million species of valuable kinds of fish.
