A school for the preparation of UEFA EURO 2012 volunteers has opened in Kharkiv, Ukraine's east, on the basis of the Center of Social Services for Family, Children and Youth.
The center's director Tetiana Drozdova said more than 230 people have already registered in the school. "We have conducted a survey among all universities of various levels of accreditation. According to the questionnaires, there are about 2,500 of those wishing to become volunteers in Kharkiv among students. Of them, we will select the top 500, which will represent our city during the EURO 2012 tournament," Drozdova emphasized, UKRINFORM reported.
School classes will be held at the weekend. The candidates for volunteers will listen to 50 hours of courses related to information support in the fan zones, airports, bus stations, railways, IT, technology, translation, servicing sector, people with special needs, media, VIP-guests, accreditation of participants, language support for physicians, medical pre-hospital assistance.
