The Party of Regions leader Viktor Yanukovych stated that the position of the Party of Regions concerning the status of the Russian language in Ukraine has not changed, He said that yesterday in Donetsk, answering the journalists questions, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.
“We have never changed our principles in our election program. It is another matter that realization of these principles are related with search of our like-minded persons. If to speak about the Russian language as the second state language in Ukraine, then it is necessary 300 votes in the parliament to introduce necessary changes to the Constitution for this. But we see now that we do not have such number of votes. But we will strive for this and will never break our principles,” Yanukovych said.
