The President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko emphasized the appropriate level of provision for gender equality in Ukraine. He told today during the ceremony of presentation of state awards on occasion of the Women’s day.
According to Yushchenko, Ukraine has women to be proud of. Having noted that the Ukrainian women actively participate in state processes, the President said that there are still some problems on this. However, according to him, the power is ready to solve current problems.
Yushchenko gave high appraisal to the Ukrainian women, remembered names of many distinguished Ukrainian women beginning with the princess Olga and to Lina Kostenko and Nina Matviyenko. We remember and appreciate them on this spring day,” the President said.
Congratulating women on March 8 – Women’s day, Yushchenko noted that this holiday has great traditions in Ukraine. He reminded that it was always respectful treat to women in Ukraine.
