Egypt is preparing to launch the first in country’s history scientific space satellite “Masr-sat-1”, constructed in Ukraine.
A representative of national center of the Earth investigation informed: “We complete the last work phase on satellite “Masr-sat-1” preparation to launch. The satellite is intended for investigations and observations for the Earth. Launch of “Masr-sat-1” will take place in the near future at space-vehicle launching site in Kazakhstan.”
Mass media Egypt refuted information of Israeli press that constructed in Ukraine 100 kg Egyptian satellite is made for espionage and will be used for detailed survey of Israeli territory.
As a reminder, negotiations on cooperation between Ukraine and Egypt in space sphere began in late 2005.
