Director of the Hospital to Hospital program Vira Pavliuk met with representatives of Birmingham Rotary Club Members, Michael Fleenor and Scott Colson. Head of the International Health Research and Education Program in Ukraine Tamara Korotych was also present at the meeting, the Ukraine3000 out on Wednesday reads.

The parties discussed the ways of future cooperation. In part, high emphasis was placed on the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund’s Hospital to Hospital program. The Rotary members gave a high esteem to the program and expressed their content with its basic principles: openness and fair partnership.

The meeting resulted in an agreement on partnership between Birmingham Children’s Hospital (Alabama, US) and Vinnytsia Oblast Clinical Hospital, participating in the Hospital to Hospital  program. The details of cooperation between the Ukrainian and American hospitals will be discussed in the near future.

Birmingham Rotary Club Members together with the International Health Research and Education Program in Ukraine has been carrying out a training program for Ukrainian doctors in Vinnytsia for the last 5 years. Within the framework of this program our medical workers had undergone training at the Birmingham Children's Hospital.
