May 31, PM of Ukraine Yuri Yekhanurov and Norwegian Minister for Foreign Affairs Jonas Gahr Støre held meeting in Kyiv for purpose of negotiations over energy sector, shipbuilding and the Sea Launch project, the Cabinet’s press office told.

Bilateral intense dialogue has entered a new stage as on January 1, 2006 Ukraine became a parliamentary - presidential republic, and bilateral relations from now on will have a greater parliamentary dimension, PM Yekhanurov told.

Norwegian Foreign Minister, in turns, stated that his visit to Ukraine was the first political visit by a Norwegian government official to Ukraine after the Orange Revolution.

“I know that Ukraine is undergoing the process of rather painful, yet necessary reforms, and Norway is ready to support Ukraine in implementing these, the Norwegian Minister of Foreign affairs told the host party,” stressed Mr. Støre.
