Oleksandr Medvedko Prosecutor General of Ukraine informed PACE delegation about adopted measures on reformation of prosecutor’s offices in accordance with Constitution of Ukraine and international standards. As reported press office of General office of Public Prosecutor, Medvedko met with Assembly Members Mrs Renate Wohlwend, Mrs Hanne Severinsen and Co-Secretary of PACE Monitoring Committee Mme Ivi-Triin Odrats today in Kyiv.

Medvedko told about results of work on fight against corruption, violation of legislation on elections. He underlined his demand to all officials of prosecutor’s offices to inspect observance of law during the elections and to prevent from use of administrative resources.

Besides, Prosecutor General informed PACE delegation about work of Directorate of Public Prosecutions on observance of Mass Media law and securing of transparent work.

Medvedko answered all the questions concerning problems of human traffic, securing of rights of detained, accused and imprisoned persons.

In their turn, Assembly members thanked Medvedko for his report, having underlined that information made good impression on them.
