Law enforcers detained more than 20 people in connection with the events occurring within the last day in the center of Kyiv.
"The police detained more than 20 people. They were delivered in police district departments. Now their identities and degree of participation in the events are being established," the Interior Ministry press service informs.
The Ministry stressed that nine people were detained in course of criminal investigation of over riots. As for the other detainees, they were released after compiling administrative protocols. Among them there are representatives of various political parties.
Clashes among protesters and police in Kyiv center began on Sunday, January 19, after protesters had decided to break through the police cordon in the direction of the Government House and the Verkhovna Rada.
