Today, 46.500 women do service and work in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, defense minister Pavlo Lebedev said, congratulating women on March 8, ForUm correspondent reports.
"Today, there are more than 16.500 women soldiers and 30.000 civil servants in the Ukrainian Armed Forces," the minister said and added that it is a quarter of the total number of employees in the Armed Forces.
The minister also thanked the women for their service at the highest level.
