The “Our Ukraine – People’s Self-Defense” bloc will consider the possibility of election of Volodymyr Lytvyn as the speaker of the parliament only if the bloc of Lytvyn proposes this. Member of the OU-PSD Mykola Katerynchuk stated at a press conference on Tuesday.
According to him, for today there is only one statement from the bloc of Lytvyn, in which it is said that the bloc will decide on coalition membership after the parliament is convened and the People’s deputies make an oath.
Katerynchuk notes that there is no particular proposition form the bloc of Lytvyn concerning Lytvyn’s candidacy to a position of the parliament’s chairman.
According to him, the OU-PSD bloc “will consider such proposition only as soon as it comes”.
