Verkhovna Rada Chairman Vladimir Litvin met with Danish Foreign Minister Per Stig Moller  Wednesday in Kiev. As the Ukrainian Speaker noted, "the Ukrainian side appreciates Denmark's decision to resume its foreign mission to Ukraine".

In this connection the Danish top-placed diplomat said the Embassy's recommencement has both political and economic aspects of bipartite cooperation. According to him, "hoping for Ukraine's further democratic development, Denmark will enhance neighborhood program with Ukraine and support its Euro-Atlantic integration aspirations".

The sides discussed prospects for liberalization of Ukraine's economy, accession to the WTO and improvement of the investment climate. According to the Ukrainian Speaker, for quality changes cooperation with the Government and clear estimation of advantages and disadvantages are needed. In such conditions the Parliament is ready to cooperate with the Govt in passing the WTO bills, Litvin said. He aired his belief that the issue will be settled by the end of the year. "We need an analysis, not mottoes, than we will have results", the Verkhovna Rada Chairman stated, Cabinet's press office reported.

Litvin described the Ukrainian - Danish bipartite cooperation "as friendly and perspective on the level of the parliaments", which was testified by the Danish Speaker's participation in a meeting of North-European and Baltic Speakers in Kiev.
