The issue of Ukraine's accession to the Customs Union is not on the current agenda, speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Rybak said, congratulating the parliamentary women journalists on March 8, ForUm correspondent reports.
"We do not consider now the question of Ukraine’s joining the Customs Union, such a question is not on the agenda of the Parliament. There is an economic issue. To join the Customs Union, we need to pass some 140 laws," the speaker said, adding that only after careful study of the issue, some agreement on bilateral relations or in 3 +1 format may be signed.
Rybak said that the major issue for Ukraine is European integration. "We are the European country, and we must do everything to ensure that Ukraine have European standards," he said.
