Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has instructed the Interior Ministry to develop changes in legislation to increase the responsibility for drivers, who hamper work of ambulances, the Cabinet’s press service informs.
"The Interior Ministry has been charged with developing changes in the legislation to increase the responsibility for hampering the traffic for special purpose vehicles, such as ambulances," the statement says.
"For doctors it is sometimes hard to stick to norms about the time of arrival to the patients due to traffic jams in cities and because of the gross neglect of some drivers of the road rules," the Cabinet’s press service informs.
