Nearly 700 rescuers and 166 pieces of equipment are involved in eliminating the consequences of bad weather in Kyiv and Kyiv region, the Emergencies Ministry press service informs.
In particular, 290 rescuers and 84 pieces of equipment, including 24 off-roaders are working in Kyiv region to eliminate the effects of adverse weather conditions.
386 rescue officers and 82 pieces of equipment are working in Kyiv. The Emergencies Ministry officers are involved in clearing the most difficult areas of roads, clearing public transport and the approaches to them from snow, towing cars, trucks, buses and vans, providing other assistance to drivers, passengers and pedestrians.
According to preliminary data, stable situation is observed in other regions of Ukraine.
According to a meteorologist forecast, severe weather conditions are expected in parts of the Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Odesa, Cherkasy, Chernihiv regions during December 11.
