"Dear compatriots! Ukraine has held the parliamentary elections. Our country has affirmed one more time its commitment to the democratic standards. I thank all who showed the civic position and voted for the future of our state. I am also grateful to those who organized the voting and ensured the law order," he noted.
The President thanked the international observers, "who help our country to improve the democracy." "All committed violations must be fixed at the level of the electoral law. We are obliged to prevent their recurrence in the future," the statement said.
"I congratulate the winners of the parliamentary race received a vote of confidence from the Ukrainian people. Now you have to work with dignity to meet the expectations of your voters. I expect the new Verkhovna Rada to cooperate in the direction of modernization, economic development and democratic transformation of our country. The Parliament must urgently start the workflow and quickly form its working structures. The MPs should consider a number of urgent bills, which the society has been waiting for a long time," Yanukovych declared.
