In Ukraine, bread prices will be stable, agrarian policy and food minister Anatoly Prysiazhniuk told a briefing after the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.
"14.5 million tons of wheat were collected. Milling wheat constitutes 80%. There are no shortages of wheat and food grains. However, the market remains the market. Demand for wheat exports is growing and as today we exported more than 1.2 million tones," Prysiazhniuk said.
According to him, growth in demand increases the purchase prices for grain.
"We started to intervene to keep the bread price. We use about 1 million tones of wheat to stabilize the price situation before June 1 of next year, that is, transitional stocks will remain even in the agricultural fund," the minister promised.
