Despite the increase in oil prices in the world market, the petrol price hike remains minimal in Ukraine, president of the association "Unification of operators of petroleum products of Ukraine" Leonid Kosyanchuk told a press conference "Situation in the fuel market," ForUm correspondent reported.
According to experts, this occurs particularly due to the fact that the domestic market is saturated and even oversaturated with offers.
Director of the Consulting Group "A-95" Serhiy Kuyun added that all this happens despite the active increase in oil and oil products in the international market.
"In the beginning of July, the oil in the global market cost 90 dollar per barrel, now it costs 115 dollar. Such lag response of the Ukrainian market to the external dynamics shows that our traders do not hurry to respond not only to reduction but to rise of oil prices," the expert said.
According to him, by the end of the year, the petrol price hike is not expected in the domestic market .
