Before his flight to Warsaw, the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych visited the training ground of the national football team. The head of the state had a talk with football players and the coaching staff of the team, ForUm learned from the President’s press office.
The head coach of Ukraine Oleh Blokhin and the President of the Football Federation of Ukraine Hryhoriy Surkis informed the President about the latest preparations of the Ukrainian team for the finals of Euro 2012.
"We really want you to win. We will be at all your matches. You must have a fighting spirit and you must show it on the field," Yanukovych told the players.
Shevchenko presented the President a personalized T-shirt with 12 number and Oleg Blokhin presented a ball autographed by the team.
