Borys Tarasyuk: Russia’s demands concerning CEA contradict presidential agreements
“Russia’s demands that Ukraine must sign
everything or not participate in the Common economic area contradict the
agreement the presidents had come to in August 2005,” Minister for Foreign Affairs
Borys Tarasyuk said today. “It was
agreed that Ukraine would not create a custom union but participate in a free
trade zone.”
“By the way, the Russian Federation has moved ahead less than others
concerning internal state procedures with making the documents valid. They have
prepared just 3 documents while Belarus and Kazakhstan have done 23 and 10
respectively,” Borys Tarasyuk added.
