Nigerian police rescued four foreign oil workers, kidnapped on April 22, 2013, off the Niger Delta region coast in Bayelsa, Bloomberg reported citing authorities.
Two Ukrainians, a Russian and a citizen of Kiribati were rescued on May 22 in Borokiri area of Port Harcourt, capital of Rivers State, spokeswoman of Nigerian police department Angela Gabe informed.
According to her, the rescued oil workers are in satisfactory condition.
Nigeria, the largest oil producer in Africa, is facing a new round of violence in the industrial sector of the armed groups, who steal oil from pipelines and kidnapping oil workers for ransom.
