
Introduction of the energy saving technologies at the Kyivvodocanal facilities has given a positive economic effect, chief power engineer of the OJSC "Kyivvodocanal" Mykola Nadtochy told journalists, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to him, heat pumps, which were experimentally established at the Obolon-1 water pumping station and the Komsomolska sewage station in October of 2012, allowed saving about 50% of the heat energy.
In turn, according to Nadtochy, frequency transformers that were established at four water pumping stations and eight increasing pumping stations in 2011 gave positive effect as well.
