
Smoking rooms in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will be closed for MPs and journalists, MP from the Party of Regions Yuri Miroshnichenko told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The members of Parliament should remember that they also have to obey the law," he said, noting that the MPs shall be held both administrative and criminal liability for their offenses. So, they will be also fined.
"The only difference between the ordinary citizen and an MP is the arrest procedure. The Prosecutor General and the Parliament shall take the appropriate decision, and in most cases, such decisions are taken," Miroshnichenko said.
He added that journalists, smoking in the Parliament, may also be fined.
