Ukraine will continue to hold comprehensive internal reforms and modernization in order to reach the European standards, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said during a meeting with the heads of diplomatic missions of foreign states and international organizations accredited in Ukraine, ForUm learned from the press service of the President.
Yanukovych stressed that Ukrainians respect their European origins and firmly believe in its European future. "That's why Ukraine's choice of European integration remains a priority of the foreign policy," he said.
As of today, the European Union has a difficult stage of development caused by the financial and economic crisis, and it makes the EU countries to reach compromises on the basis of solidarity, economic and social cohesion.
