During the first conference of the Ukrainian National Platform of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum, head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Ian Tombinsky confirms that there is an action plan for signing the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement in 2013.
According to him, the EU has postponed the signing due to problems with the Ukrainian justice system, as well as doubts about the flow of parliamentary elections.
Tombinsky stressed that the Parliament is crucial for the implementation of the provisions of the Association Agreement and therefore the EU needs to be sure that the Ukrainian Parliament is a reliable partner with a full mandate of trust of citizens.
EU Ambassador also noted that, according to the results of the elections on party lists, the majority of Ukrainians supported the European course of Ukraine.
