This year, Ukraine may have an intense epidemic process, head of the state health surveillance of the Sanitary-Epidemiological Service Vasyl Lyashko told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
He added that a lot depends on the weather, the temperature in schools, prevention on time and a number of vaccinated people.
From the beginning of the epidemic season of 2012-2013 (from the beginning of October, - Ed.), 669.684 people have got influenza and ARVI, including 68.7% of children under 17. Mortal cases were not registered. Last week, 172.176 people including 68.1% of children got sick with flu and ARVI. The overall flue rate has amounted to 37.8% per ten thousand people, which is by 4.9% less than the previous week.
