
Ukraine is changing for the better, but not as quickly as the government and the Ukrainians would like to, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said during the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The country is changing for the better, although it is difficult and rather slow process. The hospitals, schools and roads are being constructed and renovated. Squares, parks and fountains appear in our cities and towns. Theaters and museums are built. Housing is revived and construction of social infrastructure is unfolded," Azarov said.
According to his information, there is a quarterly increase in salaries and pensions.
"Internal trade turnover is growing for the third year in a row. This indicates a steady increase in purchasing power of citizens, the accuracy of course for the development of domestic consumption of domestic goods. All this is happening in time when most European countries suffer financial crisis," he said.
