Ukraine became the member of the two governing bodies of the Universal Postal Union for the period 2013-2016 - Governing Body and the Postal Operations Council, Infrastructure Ministry of Ukraine press service informed on October 12.
According to the Ministry, the elections to the departments on October 10 of this year, during the Doha Congress.
In total, the Council of Administration and Postal Operations Council this year includes 40 countries.
The Universal Postal Union (UPU) is the specialized agency that regulates international postal services. Among its main objectives is promoting global postal services, growth of mail through the introduction of modern forms of postal products and services that improve the quality of postal service customers.
