On Monday night, eighteen people, most of whom were citizens of Ukraine, met with a road traffic accident in Latvia, the Latvian State Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) reported.
The accident occurred on the highway Riga - Dauhavpils. A truck collided with a bus heading to Lviv from Riga. There were 27 athletes from 14 to 17 years old in the bus, they were returning from the competition from Estonia to Ukraine.
All the victims were taken to hospitals.
The accident investigation is being carried out.
