The European integration course remains to be the steady priority of the Ukrainian foreign policy, the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych told a press conference after the meeting of the Ukrainian-Russian interstate commission, ForUm learned from the President’s press office.
The President noted that this position is stipulated in a number of national laws, in particular, the law on the principles of foreign and domestic policy. "Ukraine has defined the priority. It is European integration," Yanukovych said.
Responding the question about reflection of this principle in his message to the Verkhovna Rada, the President stressed its being a strategic document. "Everything that was outlined there is a policy, which is a natural continuation of the course we had undertaken in 2010," the head of the Ukrainian state said.
