President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso discussed settlement of the political conflict in Ukraine.
A telephone conversation between Yanukovych and Barroso has been held today, ForUm learned from the president’s press office.
The Head of State assured him that there are no differences of views on the peaceful settlement of the situation.
Yanukovych also informed Barroso of the conversation with chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak.
According to the President, in the coming days in Ukraine there will be held an extraordinary session of the Parliament, which will address all the issues raised in the course of negotiations on a peaceful settlement of the conflict.
