Russian vice consul in Panama Yevgeniy Manilov was stabbed in the parking lot of the International Business Center, near the Russian Embassy. The police managed to arrest immediately the attacker - a citizen of Ukraine.
Later, the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine confirmed that a citizen of Ukraine attacked the representative of the Russian consulate in Panama.
The matter is under the control of the Ukrainian Embassy in Mexico and the Department of Consular Service of the FM of Ukraine.
Ukrainian Oleksiy Lisovenko says that before the crime he was under some external influence and did not realize what he was doing.
The Ukrainian embassy in Mexico City explained that Lisovenko made repeated attempts to contact the Russian diplomatic institution in Panama as for him it was easier to communicate in Russian.
