The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine has confirmed that three Ukrainian mountaineers were killed in an attack by militants on a group of tourists in Pakistan on June 23.
"There has been identification. According to its results, we can confirm that there were three Ukrainian citizens among the victims," the Foreign Ministry told Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday.
It also said that the matter of brining their bodies to home is being currently settled.
The Foreign Ministry’s press service added that Ukraine would seek compensation from Pakistan.
"We insist that the Pakistani side should provide compensation to relatives of the victims," the report said.
