Kyiv City Council secretary Halyna Hereha has suspended the meeting for one hour as city council deputies from the opposition blocked the rostrum, ForUm correspondent reports.

The rostrum was blocked after the program of privatization of the property of the territorial community of Kyiv had been amended.

In particular, MPs were outraged by the fact that the card of absent member of city council, the governor of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Bishop Paul (Petro Lebed), took part in the final voting.

In addition, the Kyiv City Council secretary did not allow Viktor Chumak, member of the UDAR faction, to address the meeting.

"When one vote decides the fate of such an important document as the privatization program, the issue should be put on revote," member of the UDAR faction Andriy Strannikov told reporters.
According to Strannikov, a positive decision was taken due to the final vote of the absent member Petro Lebed.

It should be noted that the privatization program includes provisions, which relate to a number of facilities in the city center, as well as other facilities, privatization of which is irrelevant, according to the opposition. Among the facilities, included in the list of those which can be privatized, he called, in particular, the central offices for the sale of theater tickets.
