Ukraine has paid compensation to former Ukrainian Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko under a ruling of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), Ukrainian Government Commissioner for ECHR Nazar Kulchytsky has said, Interfax informs.
"According to the information we've received from the State Executive Service, the treasury made the payment on January 25," the official said on Wednesday during a phone conference at the Justice Ministry of Ukraine.
Asked whether compensation was paid to Lutsenko in full, Kulchytsky said: "According to our information, yes."
He stressed that necessary details for the payment were submitted on January 9.
