Removal of barriers to self-realization of people with special needs, to their spiritual and cultural development, to guaranteed access to decent education and employment is now one of the priorities of Ukraine’s social policy, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said in the address on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, published on the President’s official website.
The President is convinced that the implementation of new social initiatives will promote the integration of people in modern society, providing support for their families.
Yanukovych urged everyone to open their hearts for good, feel the problems of people with disabilities, to create such conditions for them to feel equal among equals.
The President wished the disabled and their families good health, long life, optimism and prosperity.
Today, on December 3, the world community marks the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
