Existing commands of the Army, Air and Naval Forces will be transformed to the General Staff, chief of the General Staff, commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, colonel-general Volodymyr Zamana said during a meeting with foreign military attaches.
The purpose of reforming the structure of the Armed Forces is to enhance the components of combat units and reduce the maintenance and optimization of the structures of governance.
According to him, the perspective structure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine includes two operational commands and the command of the Navy.
The colonel-general stressed that the reform process does not pass off without a hitch, but the leadership of the military department has a support of the President of Ukraine, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
